ISO 14001 Accreditation for a Sustainable Future
After first announcing in July 2024 that Zipform Digital was working towards achieving the global accreditation ISO14001 Environmental Management, the business has since dedicated a further 12 months to the process.
ISO 14001 is vital for businesses looking to expand their environmental performance and demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. Beyond acknowledging the commitment to reducing a business’s environmental impact, it’s also widely considered to enable sustainable success. For clients, it provides confidence that partnering with Zipform Digital means working with a supplier that meets internationally recognised environmental standards.
Why it matters
Adding ISO 14001 Environmental Management System to create a trio of global ISO accreditations reflects Zipform Digital’s culture of continuous improvement and demonstrates our commitment to environmental sustainability.

Our Sustainability Journey
Shaanique Davies, Compliance Manager at Zipform Digital, led the accreditation process.
“Once we had the right partner on board to guide us through accreditation, it was a straightforward process. Very few changes were needed to our existing operations, as many of the required improvements had been included in our strategic business planning over the past five years.”
With new waste disposal procedures, expanded recycling programs and the adoption of circular economy initiatives, the accreditation process took around 18 months to complete.
As part of long-term planning, Zipform Digital incorporated ISO 14001 requirements into major projects. For example, during the multi-million-dollar upgrade of the production facility in Canning Vale in 2024, a 110KW solar array system was installed on the roof space.
Shaanique highlighted further initiatives,
We switched to more efficient LED lighting during the facility upgrade, and we expanded our recycling program. We also maintain strict criteria for all paper we use for client communications – it must be Anti-logging, FSC and PEFC certified, ensuring responsible forestry practices are adhered to.
Benefits for Zipform Digital clients
Whilst obtaining this certification was an extensive process that introduced many positives to the way we operate, it also opened up new opportunities for Zipform Digital clients.
Richard Vaughan explains,

While ISO 14001 is not a legal requirement in Australia, current and future clients can have confidence that Zipform Digital is committed to sustainability and operate to internationally recognised standards.”
